pulling up

I don't think we are going to have the luxury of Jamey waiting until his first birthday to walk. I dunno maybe I am just making too much of things, but he's been pulling himself up on things an awful lot lately. And he's gotten the hang of it pretty darned quick.

With Jacob he was pulling up and standing around Thanksgiving and began seriously walking in March. But he didn't need to walk, if he couldn't crawl where he wanted to go he'd get carried. With Jamey on the otherhand, he HAS to go. Go Go GO! Where ever his big brother is, or his dog, or his momma.. or sometimes even (yea!) me.

Tonight he pulled himself up on my pants legs in a matter of moments, stood there for a second and then turned around, just holding on to me with one grubby little paw. Pamela just looks away when he does that and mumbles to herself -

“I am not watching...”
“I am not encouraging this behavior.”
“What did I do to deserve this?”

The last one always comes with a dejected sigh.

I noticed tonight also that he's learning to 'tuck' when he loses his balance and falls instead of going 'spread-eagle'. I keep telling Pamela that as fast as he is crawling, its not fast enough to keep up with his big brother.

He gonna be just like those babies you see on TV, big fat diaper butt, belly sticking out under a shirt and running down the hallway shreaking with laughter as the mommy chases them.
