We lost power Sunday night around 10:30ish .. I was in the middle of loggin into SWG when the lights (and computer) went bounce bounce bounce , out! Luckily I had a flashlight on the shelf above my computer .. so I unplugged the PCs in the office, shut the rest of the house down and went to bed.

No Fan, No AC, both boys in bed with us .. it was HOT ..

Monday morning I awoke to find Pamela and Whiskey boy already up and packed to go over to my folks house (they had electricity). So we spent the day there, Monday night I drove back over to the house, still no lights.

Tuesday morning came, on the way to work I stopped by the house, still no lights.

Stopped by again at lunch time (no lights) and emptied out the fridge of all that was beginning to have life of its own. Just in time too I might add.

Finally this afternoon around 3 the lights came back on. Woo! So we ate dinner over at the folks and came on home.

The boys sure did love the time they spent over at my folks, to get doted on by 4 people instead of two .. yea baby!

As for the storm itself? Feh .. it was nothing. Jacob and I wandered around in the rain Monday. He, his Farmor, his momma and whiskey boy went out for long walks in the best of it .. I've seen worse summer thunderstorms.

By the time it got here , and BECAUSE it came straight for us, it was just a gust of wind. If it had strengthened any at all, and had come in and gone thru Quincy instead .. then we would have seen a storm.
