Ah! Friday finally arrives, with it comes the sweet release of the weekend, And the thump, thump, thump of the stereos of the neighbor across the street and his friends. As they come down the street with the toddler bellowing, the windows closed and the A/C on (I did tell you spring is here for Tallahassee, and with it the humidity...)I can still hear very clearly the music and vocals of their car stereos. BUT in this time of incivility in our nation, I choose not to confront them, but turn the other cheek .. Well .. Until it's midnight. Then usually a quick flashing of the porch lights seems to do the trick.
This weekend looks to be another busy one, Tonight was cocktail party at Cindy & DJ's that we missed (I am just now beginning to come out of that migraine I had all day). Followed tomorrow by the first lawn mowing of the season. A Party at Waddle-pots (one of those ceramic places in the mall), and then a Sunday of massive yard work.
As I said earlier spring is in the air, and if indications are correct, this season will be a hot and wet one instead of the previous Hot and DRY ones we had for the past few years. Pamela and I have big plans for our gardens this year. I will expound more on that some other time. Suffice it to say that 4 new garden beds will be built and filled soon ...All with veggies, our two old beds will become ornamental and temporary planting areas ..
