Double Plus Good!

Random Child Observations:

Cub has mastered the use of the "un" prefix, and now expresses himself in orwellian terms. He is un-wet, un-hot, un-sad, etc.

He also clarified a minor misconception for me. He's been telling me that he wants another baby -- not a replacement baby, as I understand is a more common sentiment, but another addition to our family. How sweet is that?

Sadly, not that sweet. Apparently he heard a conversation about getting two dogs instead of one, because they amuse each other and are less likely to misbehave. Well, if it works for dogs, it'll work for little brothers! So what he really wants is for Whiskey to have someone to climb on besides him. Nice problem-solving skills, eh?

Four days in a row, he's informed me at some point that he doesn't like me, that he's going to live elsewhere. This is great theater, btw. He's sooooo dramatic! I am careful to keep a straight face and to take him seriously, but it's killing me not to grab him and hug him and laugh my ass off. I tell him I'll be sad if he leaves, but a guy's gotta do what a guy's gotta do. Then he says "but I would miss you guys, mommy!" and all is well again.
